Sri Sathya Sai School Students in Laos Embody Selfless Service at Naxangphay Buddhist Temple

In a heartwarming demonstration of unity, devotion, and service, over 300 students from the Sri Sathya Sai School in Lao PDR recently visited the Naxangphay Buddhist Temple on 28 March 2025 to offer prayers and participate in the temple’s annual celebrations.

Rooted in the shared values of love, respect, and service across spiritual traditions, the visit provided students with the opportunity to reflect on the teachings of Swami, which emphasize the harmony of all faiths and the importance of selfless action.

After the collective prayer session, 60 senior students chose to remain at the temple to volunteer during the preparations for the annual celebration. These young volunteers wholeheartedly engaged in a variety of tasks—assisting in cooking traditional meals, cleaning the temple grounds, and serving food to the hundreds of Lao Buddhist devotees who attended the event at the temple.

This act of service not only strengthened the students' bond with the local community, but also provided them with a meaningful opportunity to practice “Love All, Serve All” and “Help Ever, Hurt Never” in action. The temple’s monks and organizers expressed their deep gratitude for the students’ sincerity, discipline, and cheerful service.

Sri Sathya Sai School in Laos continues to integrate academic learning with spiritual and value-based education, nurturing students into compassionate and responsible citizens of the world.
