Malaysia, Northern Flood Disaster Relief Effort by SSSGC Bukit Mertajam
On the 8th December 2024, the Sri Sathya Sai Global Association of Malaysia – Bukit Mertajam (SSSGAM BM) took a pivotal role in leading the Northern Flood Disaster Relief effort. In collaboration with the staff of the Akademi Kenegaraan Malaysia (AKM-PPM), the Office of the Prime Minister (Pejabat Perdana Menteri), the Ministry of Youth and Sports (Pejabat Belia Dan Sukan), local council officials, and the compassionate support of local residents, they initiated a comprehensive relief operation in the flood-stricken areas of Kampung Pulau Timbul, Kubang Pasu.
A convoy of eight vehicles arrived in the affected area at 10:00 AM, where the team were warmly received by the local community. The primary focus of this relief mission was to provide immediate assistance to those in need, including the distribution of dry rations and basic necessities. In addition, a satisfying lunch was served to the local residents to help alleviate some of their challenges during this difficult time.
With Swami’s grace and blessings, the relief team was able to complete the mission and return to Bukit Mertajam by 4:00 PM. This swift and impactful intervention would not have been possible without the generous support and cooperation of all those who contributed, both directly and indirectly.
This heartfelt gratitude is definitely to our great lord, whom without ‘His’ will, this would not be a possible outcome. As per Swami always mentioned: “Take one step towards Me, and I shall take hundred steps towards you.”
