In the true spirit of “Love All, Serve All,” the management, teachers, and students of the Sri Sathya Sai School in Lao PDR undertook a noble service initiative during the month of March 2025, extending compassion and care to those in need.
Every Thursday of the month, members of the school community visited a local Vagrant Home in Vientiane, where they lovingly prepared and served hot, nutritious meals to the residents. Through this regular outreach, the team was able to serve over 1,000 meals, bringing not just food, but also warmth, dignity, and human connection to some of the most vulnerable members of society.
Students played a central role in this initiative, helping with meal preparation, packaging, and distribution, while also engaging with the residents through smiles, respectful conversation, and simple acts of kindness. Teachers and staff provided strong support and guidance, ensuring that the activity was not only well-coordinated but also a deeply enriching experience for everyone involved.
This act of service exemplifies the core values of the Sri Sathya Sai School: selfless service, empathy, and unity. The initiative also provided a valuable opportunity for students to internalize the teachings of Sri Sathya Sai Baba on the importance of serving with love and humility.
By reaching out to the marginalized with compassion and consistency, the school continues to be a living example of education that goes beyond the classroom—nurturing the heart, as well as the mind.
