Laos, Service Activity at the Vagrant Home: A November of Love and Compassion
In the spirit of selfless service, the devotees, along with the teachers and students of the Sri Sathya Sai School of Laos, came together in November to extend their love and care to the residents of the Vagrant Home in Vientiane. This monthly service initiative was a profound demonstration of the values of compassion, unity, and dedication taught at the Sri Sathya Sai School.
Over the course of four Thursdays, a total of 1,230 nutritious meals were lovingly prepared in the school’s kitchen. Each meal was a product of teamwork and devotion, cooked with care and attention to detail. The food was then ferried to the Vagrant Home, ensuring it reached the residents fresh and warm.
This initiative not only provided sustenance to the Vagrant Home's residents but also served as a practical lesson in love and service for the students of the school. Through their participation, the students imbibed the values of empathy, sharing, and responsibility, embodying the teachings of Sri Sathya Sai Baba: "Love All, Serve All."
The service activity was met with heartfelt gratitude from the residents, and the smiles exchanged during these moments were a testament to the transformative power of selfless service. This act of kindness exemplifies how collective efforts can bring joy and hope to those in need, strengthening the bond of humanity in our community.
The Sri Sathya Sai School of Laos remains committed to such initiatives, fostering a spirit of service that transcends boundaries and inspires all to contribute to a better society.
"Service to man is service to God."
The devotees, teachers, and students who participated in this noble activity look forward to continuing this journey of love and compassion in the months to come.
