Updated: 5 days ago

The Sri Sathya Sai School in Vientiane, Lao PDR, was honoured to welcome His Excellency Mr Yogeswar Sangwan, the Ambassador of India to Lao PDR and his gracious spouse on 1st April for a special visit that left a deep impression on all in attendance.

Upon their arrival, the Ambassador and his wife were warmly received by the school’s management, staff, and students. The visit began with a guided tour of the school’s serene and expansive campus, which includes dedicated academic buildings for girls and boys, a meditation centre, a free health clinic, and well-equipped facilities for science, computer studies, and sports.

A highlight of the visit was a vibrant cultural program presented by the students. The performances—featuring traditional Lao and Indian music, dance, and spiritual chants—reflected the school’s unique blend of value-based education and cultural appreciation. The discipline, poise, and talent of the students were especially appreciated by the distinguished guests.

The Ambassador commended the school for providing holistic education rooted in love, discipline, and selfless service. He praised the dedication of the teachers and staff, and expressed admiration for the school's role in promoting harmony, compassion, and academic excellence.

The visit was a joyful and inspiring occasion for the school community, reaffirming the deep bonds of friendship between India and Lao PDR, and reinforcing the timeless message of Sri Sathya Sai Baba: “Education is for life, not merely for a living.”
